  3. Everi year, dis man dey komot from hin town to go worship and sacrifice to Baba-God Almighty for Shiloh. Hophni plus Phinehas dey for there. Dem be di two pikin of Eli wey be di priest of Baba-God.
  4. Any day wey e reach for Elkanah to sacrifice, he go give some part of di meat to hin wife Peninnah, and to all hin pikin.
  5. But he dey give Hannah big share becos he love her, but Baba-God close her belle.
  6. And becos Baba-God close here belle, di oda wive dey always whyne her so dat she go vex.
  7. Dis tin dey happun everi year. Any time wey Hannah go Baba-God house, di second wife go dey whyne her—sote she no gree chop and she con dey cry.
  8. Elkanah her husband con ask her sey, “Hannah, why you dey cry? Why you no wan gree chop? Why you dey feel sad? Abi I no dey enuff for you pass ten sons?”

Hannah Pray For Pikin

9. One time like dat, wen dem don chop and drink finish for Shiloh, Hannah stand up. Now Eli wey be di priest dey sidon for chair near di doormot of Baba-God house.

10. As Hannah dey feel sad for inside her spirit, naso she con dey cry well-well as she dey pray to Baba-God.

11. So she make promise sey, “Chai, Baba-God Almighty, if you go only just look your servant suffer-suffer, con remember me, and make you no forget your servant, but give her baby-boy, den I go give am to Baba-God for all di days of hin life, and no razor go ever touch hin head.”

12. As she kontinu to dey pray to Baba-God, Eli look her mouth.

13. Hannah bin dey pray inside her heart. Her lips dey move, but her voice no come out. So Eli con tink sey she don high.

14. Naso Eli tell her sey, “How long you go dey high? Stop to dey drink ogogoro.”

15. Hannah ansa am, “No be so my oga, I be woman wey dey feel sad inside my spirit. I neva drink wine or ogogoro, I bin dey pour my spirit give Baba-God.

16. No see me, your servant as wicked woman, I dey pray for here from inside my serious sadness and wahala.”

17. So Eli ansa her, “Dey go wit peace, and make Baba-God of Israel give you wetin you dey ask from am.”

18. Naso she tok sey, “Make me, your servant see favour for your eyes.” So she go her way, con chop sometin, and her face no look sad again.

Dem Born Samuel and Hin Mama Give Am To Baba-God

19. Di next day for early mor-mor, dem wake up, con worship for Baba-God altar, and dem go back to dia home town for Ramah. Elkanah sleep wit Hannah hin wife, and Baba-God remember her.

20. E con happun sey, Hannah con get-belle and she born baby-boy. She call hin name Samuel, naso she tok sey, “Becos I ask Baba-God for am.”

21. Naso Elkanah komot wit hin family go give di sacrifice wey dem dey give everi year to Baba-God, and to pay hin promise wey he make to Baba-God.

22. Hannah no gree go. She tell her husband sey, “Afta di boy don stop to dey suck breast, I go carry am go Baba-God house, and na for there he go always dey.”

23. Elkanah her husband con tell her sey, “Do di best tin wey you fit do, stay here for now, until di pikin stop to dey suck breast, only make Baba-God confam hin words, con make hin word stand.” So she stay for house until di pikin stop to dey suck breast.

24. Afta di baby stop to dey suck breast, naso she carry di boy follow body, as small as he be, she carry three small malu for sacrifice, basket of flour, plus some wine. Naso she carry am enta Baba-God house for Shiloh.

25. Wen dem don kill di small-malu, dem carry di boy come meet Eli.

26. And she tell am sey, “As surely as you dey alive my oga, na me be di woman wey bin stand for here, near you, con dey pray to Baba-God.

27. I pray for dis pikin and Baba-God give me wetin I ask from am.

28. Now I dey give am to Baba-God. Na Baba-God he go dey serve for di rest of hin life.” And he worship Baba-God for there.
