Isaiah Give Hezekiah Assurance

  5. Wen king Hezekiah servants come meet Isaiah,
  6. Isaiah tell dem sey, “Make una tell una oga sey, ‘Dis na wetin Baba-God tok: No let fear catch you becos of di words wey you don hear, wey di servants of Assyria take insult me.

17. “No be lie, Oh Baba-God, di king of Assyria don turn di nations and dia lands to waste.

18. Dem don burn dia gods wit faya; but dem no be gods, but dem just be wood plus stone, na sometin wey men make wit dia hand—nahin make dem scata dem.

19. Now, Oh Baba-God wey be awa Oga, save us from hin hand, so dat all di kingdoms of di earth go sabi sey na only you be God—Oh Baba-God.

Isaiah Prophesy Against Assyria

20. Naso Isaiah wey be di son of Amoz send message go meet Hezekiah sey: “Dis na wetin Baba-God, di God of Israel tok: I don hear your prayer against Sennacherib—di king of Assyria.

21. Dis na di word wey Baba-God don tok against am: ‘Di virgin Daughter of Zion hate you and she dey yab you wit laff, di daughters of Jerusalem dey shake dia head for you for your back.

22. Who you tink sey you don insult and down-grade? Who you raise your voice against con see-finish wit your big eyes wey dey up? Abi no be against di Holy One of Israel?

23. Your messengers don bring message wey insult Baba-God. And you don tok sey, “I don climb di highest place for di mountain wit my plenty horse-moto, to di sides of Lebanon, and I go cut down di tall cedar trees from there; I go cut di best fir trees. I go reach di borders wey far pass, con enta di deep-deep forests.

34. ‘I go defend dis city and I go save am, becos of me and sake of my servant David.”

36. So king Sennacherib of Assyria komot, con go back to Nineveh.
