  1. E con happun sey, on di seventh year, on di fifth month, on di tenth day of di month, some of di senior-men of Israel come meet me to ask Baba-God, and dem sidon for my front.
  2. Naso Baba-God word come meet me sey:
  3. “Man pikin, tok to di senior-men of Israel, con tell dem sey, ‘Dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok: “Abi una don come ask me about sometin? As surely as I dey live, I no go  let una ask anytin from me?” naso Baba-God Almighty tok.”’
  4. Man pikin, abi you no go judge dem, abi you no go judge dem? Let dem know di sins of dia ancestors.
  5. “And tell dem sey: ‘Dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok: “On di day wey I choose Israel, I swear wit my hand wey I raise up—to di pikin-pikin-pikin of di house of Jacob, and I show mysef to dem for inside Egypt—wit my hand wey I raise go up, con tell dem sey, ‘Na me be Baba-God wey be una Oga.’
  6. On dat day, I swear to dem sey I go carry dem komot from Egypt—enta land wey I don choose for dem, land wey dey flow wit milk plus honey—land wey fine pass any oda land.
  7. I con tell dem sey, ‘Make everi single one of una, komot una evil images wey una dey look, and no corrupt yoursef wit di idols of Egypt. Na me be Baba-God wey be una Oga.’
  8. But dem disobey me, and dem no gree listen to me; dem no gree komot dia evil images wey dem dey look, and dem no gree fashi di idols of Egypt. Naso I tok sey I go pour my vex on dem, and I go vex for dem kpatakpata for inside Egypt.
  9. But sake of my name, I no do wetin go make pipo downgrade my name for di eyes of di nations wey dem dey live among, and for dia front nahin I show mysef to di pipo of Israel by carrying dem komot from Egypt.
  10. So I carry dem komot from Egypt, con carry dem enta desert.

  12. I give dem my Sabbath sef—as sign between me and dem, so dat dem go sabi sey na me be dia Oga wey dey make dem holy.
  13. But di pipo of Israel disobey me for inside desert. Dem no gree follow my yarnings, and dem fashi my laws—wey if man keep, he go live by dem, and dem corrupt my Sabbath kpatakpata. So I tok sey I go pour my vex on dem for inside di desert, to scata dem.
  14. But becos of my name, I no do wetin go make pipo downgrade my name for di eyes of di nations—wey na for dia korokoro eyes I take carry Israel komot.
  15. And I swear to dem for inside desert, sey I no go carry dem enta di land wey I don give dem—land wey dey flow wit milk plus honey, land wey fine pass all di oda land—
  16. Becos dem fashi my laws, and dem no gree follow my yarnings, but dem spoil my Sabbaths; becos dia hearts dey follow dia idols.
  17. But I sorry-for dem wen I look dem, and I no dabaru dem, or end dem for inside desert.
  18. “But I tell dia pikin inside desert sey, ‘Make una no follow di way of una papa-papa-papa, no follow  dia pattern, or corrupt unasef wit dia idols.
  19. Na me be Baba-God wey be una Oga; follow my words, keep my laws—con do dem.
  20. Keep my Sabbaths holy, so dat dem go be sign between me and una, so dat una go sabi sey na me be Baba-God wey be una Oga.’
  21. But di pikin disobey me: dem no gree follow my words, dem no keep my laws or do dem—‘wey if man dey keep dem, he go live by dem’; but dem spoil my Sabbaths. So I tok sey I go pour my vex on dem, to para for dem finish for inside di desert.
  22. But I hold my hand, and becos of my name, I no do wetin go make pipo downgrade my name for di eyes of di nations—wey dey look as I carry Israel komot.
