Prophecy Against Tyre

  1. E con happun sey, for di eleventh year, on di first day of di month, Baba-God word come meet me, sey:
  2. “Man pikin, becos Tyre don tell Jerusalem sey, ‘Ntoor! Di gate of di nations don break, and e door don open down for me; now wey she don scata kpatakpata for ground, I go prosper,’
  3. “So dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok: ‘See, I dey against you Tyre, and I go make plenty nations raise against you as di waves of big-river take dey raise.
  4. Dem go scata di walls of Tyre, con break her tall-houses; naso I go komot all di soil, con make her be like ordinary rock!
  5. E go be place where dem dey spread fish-net for middle of big-river: me, Baba-God Almighty don tok am,’ naso Baba-God yarn; ‘Di nations go rob her,
  6. And her daughters wey dey for field go die by sword. Naso dem go sabi sey na me be Baba-God.’
  7. Becos dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok: “I go allow Nebuchadnezzar wey be di king of Babylon attack Tyre, Nebuchadnezzar wey be di king of kings, wit plenty-plenty horse, plus horse-moto, wit men wey dey ride horse, and big army from di north.
  8. He go use sword take scata your daughter villages wey dey inside you; he go build wall against you, he go build mountain of attack against your wall, con rasie hin shield against you.
  9. He go set war machine to scata your wall, con use hin axes take break your tall-houses.
  10. Hin horse go plenty well-well sote dia dust go cover you. Your walls go shake wen dem hear di noise of di horse-riders, plus di tires, and di horse-moto—as dem dey enta una gates—like men wey dey enta city wey di wall don break.
