Judgement For Di Jews For Inside Egypt

  1. Dis message come meet Jeremiah about all di Jews wey dey stay for di land of Egypt—for Migdol, Tahpanhes, plus Memphis [Noph], and for di land of Pathros.
  2. Dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok, di God of Israel: “Una see di serious wahala wey I carry come meet Jerusalem plus all di cities of Judah. Today dem don empty finish and everi where na scata-scata, and no pesin dey live for there,
  3. becos of di bad-bad-tins wey dem don do. Dem make me vex by burning incense and by worshipping oda gods wey even dem, una, or dia papa-papa-papa no sabi before.
  4. Evensef, I dey always send my servants di prophets go meet dem, wey tok sey, ‘No do dis kain mumu tin wey I hate!’
  5. But dem no gree listen or put mind for wetin I dey tok; dem no gree komot hand from dia wickedness, or stop to dey burn incense to oda gods.
  6. So I con vex for dem seriously like faya; naso my vex burn di cities of Judah plus di streets of Jerusalem, con scata dem kpatakpata, sote di place don empty now.”
  7. Now dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok, di God of Israel: “Why una wan carry dis kain serious wahala meet unasef by cutting di men komot from Judah, wit di women, and di small-small pikin—sote no pesin remain for Judah?
  8. Why una dey make me vex wit wetin una hand don do, as una dey burn incense to oda gods for Egypt, where una don con settle put—to cut unasef komot? Una go scata unasef, con make pipo dey yab una and dey curse una among di nations of di earth.
  9. Abi una don forget di kain bad-bad-tins wey una papa-papa-papa do, and di bad-bad-tins wey di kings plus queens of Judah do; even di bad-bad-tin wey una and una wives don do—for di land of Judah and for di streets of Jerusalem?
  10. Even reach today, dem neva calm down, or fear, or follow my words and my law wey I set for dem and dia papa-papa-papa.”
  11. So dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok, di God of Israel: “I go set my face against una, to carry gbege come meet una, and to cut Judah komot.
  12. I go take di remaining pipo of Judah wey don zero dia mind sey dem must go Egypt to settle down, all of dem go kpeme for Egypt; dem go fall by sword, or hungry go beat dem die; from di smallest one of dem to di biggest, dem go die by sword, or hunger. Pipo go curse dem con hate dem, dem go condemn dem, and dem go yab dem.
  13. I go use sword take punish those pipo wey dey stay for Egyp, even hunger plus disease, as I bin take punish Jerusalem.
  14. None of di remaining pipo of Judah wey go settle down for Egypt go escape, or survive to come back to dis land of Judah, wey dem love to come back to stay; none of dem go come back, except some small pipo wey go escape.”

Di Pipo Get Coconut-head

15. Naso all di men wey know sey dia wives dey burn incense to oda gods, along wit all di women wey dey for there, plenty-plenty pipo, plus all di pipo wey dey stay for Pathros, for Egypt, con tell Jeremiah sey,

16. “We no go gree listen to di message wey you don tell us wit Baba-God name!

17. We go surely do everitin wey we tok sey we go do: We go burn incense to di Queen of Heaven, and we go pour drink offerings for her; just as we plus awa papa-papa-papa, awa kings, plus all awa princes bin dey do for di cities of Judah, and for di streets of Jerusalem. Dat time, we bin get plenty food and wey dey chop-life dat time, and we bin no get wahala.

18. But ever since we stop to dey burn incense to di Queen of Heaven, and to dey pour drink offerings to her, we no see shi-shi again, and na sword plus hunger just dey kill us.”

19. Di women con tok sey, “Wen we burn incense to di Queen of Heaven, con pour drink offerings to her, abi awa husbands no bin know sey we dey make cake to worship her, con pour drink offerings to her?”

Di Final Judgement

20. Naso Jeremiah tell all di pipo sey, both di men plus women wey dey ansa am,

21. “Abi Baba-God no remember, con reason di incense wey una burn for di cities of Judah and for di streets of Jerusalem: even una and una papa, una kings, una princes, plus di pipo of dis land?

22. Wen Baba-God no fit bear una evil ways again, plus di mumu tins wey una dey do, una land con turn to cursed land, and empty land wey don scata and wey pipo no fit live again, as e be so today.

23. Becos una don burn incense, una don sin against Baba-God, and una no gree obey Am, or follow hin law or hin words, or di ways wey he don set for una; nahin make dis wahala don come meet una as una dey see so.”

24. So Jeremiah tell all di pipo, plus di women, “Make una hear Baba-God word, all di pipo of Judah wey dey for Egypt.

25. Dis na wetin Baba-God Almighty tok, di God of Israel: ‘Wit wetin una don do and tok wit una mouth; una plus una wives—don show me wetin una promise wen una tok sey una must surely do di promise wey una make—to burn incense and to pour drink offerings for di Queen of Heaven. Make una carry-go, make una do wetin una don promise! Make una keep una promise!”

26. But hear Baba-God word, all di Jews wey dey stay for Egypt: “See, I don swear wit my ogbonge name sey, no pesin from Judah wey dey stay anywhere for Egypt—go ever call my name again or swear sey, ‘Truth to God.’ (I no go accept any promise wey una swear wit my name).

27. See, my eyes dey watch dem to wound dem, and no be to do beta tin for dem; di Jews wey dey for Egypt go die by sword plus hunger, until all of dem kpeme kpatakpata.

28. Na only some small pipo wey go escape sword, con go back to di land of Judah from Egypt. Den all di remaining pipo of Judah wey come stay for Egypt go know which pesin word go stand—my own or dia own.”

29. Baba-God con tok sey, “Na dis go be di sign to una sey I go punish una for dis place, so dat una go know sey my word go dey against una—to do una evil tin.”

30. Dis na wetin Baba-God tok: “See, I go carry Pharaoh Hophra wey be di king of Egypt give hin enemies, and di pipo wey dey fyne hin life, just as I bin carry Zedekiah wey be di king of Judah give Nebuchadnezzar wey be di king of Babylon—di enemy wey dey fyne hin life.”
