Genesis Chapter 1

Di First Day: Light

2. Di earth con dey anyhow, everi where empty kpatakpata, and darkness cover on top of di deep water. So Baba-God Spirit move on top of di water.

3. Naso Baba-God tok sey, “Make light dey!” And light just show-face.

4. Baba-God see sey di light make-sense, so Baba-God separate di light from di darkness.

5. He call di light “Day,” con call di darkness, “Night.” And evening plus morning pass—naso di first day be.

Di Second Day: High-sky

6. Baba-God con tok sey, “Make high-sky show face from di water, and make e divide di water from di water.”

7. And Baba-God make di high-sky, and he separate di water wey dey under di high-sky from di water wey dey on top of di high sky—and naso e con be.

8. Baba-God call di high-sky Heaven. And evening plus morning pass—naso di second day be.

Di Third Day: Dry Ground

9. Baba-God con tok sey, “Make di water wey dey under di heaven gada togeda for one place, and make dry land show-face”; and naso e con happun.

10. And Baba-God call di dry land earth, and he call di water wey gada togeda—big-rivers, and Baba-God see sey e make-sense.

11. Naso Baba-God tok sey, “Make di earth bring grass from di land, herbs [plants] wey get seed, plus different-different fruit trees wey dey grow in dia own way, wey e seed dey for inside am, for di earth”—and naso e con happun.

12. Di earth con start to dey bring grass from e land, and different-different herbs [plants] wey get seed, plus different-different trees wey dey produce fruit, wey dia seed dey inside dem—and Baba-God see sey e good well-well.

13. Evening plus morning con reach—naso di third day be.

Di Fourth Day: Sun, Moon, Plus Stars

14. Naso Baba-God tok sey, “Make light dey for di high-sky of di heaven—wey go separate di day from di night; and make dem be for signs and for seasons, and for days plus years.

15. And make dem be for lights for di high sky of di heavens, wey go dey give light to di earth”; and naso e con be.

16. Naso Baba-God con make two strong mlights. Di light wey strong pass go control di day, and di oda light wey small pass go control di night. He make di stars sef.

17. Baba-God con set dem for di high-sky of di heaven, so dat dem go fit shine light for di earth,

18. And make dem fit rule di day plus di night, and to separate di light from di darkness—and Baba-God see sey na beta tin.

19. Evening plus morning reach—naso di fourth day be.

Di Fifth Day: Fish Plus Birds

20. Baba-God con tok sey, “Make di water bring plenty living tins wey dey move and wey get life, plus birds wey go fly on top of di earth for di high-sky wey open for di heaven.”

21. And Baba-God make big whales, plus everi animal wey dey alive and wey dey move—wey di water bring brekete—different-different kinds. And everi different-different kind of birds wey get feathers: and Baba-God see sey e make-sense.

22. Baba-God bless dem, con tok sey, “Make una produce fruit, make una brekete, and make una burku inside di water for di big rivers, and make birds burku for di earth.”

23. Evening plus morning con reach—naso di fifth day be.

Di Sixth Day: Di Animals ForDi Land

24. Naso Baba-God tok sey, “Make di earth bring out different-different kind of living tins, malu, animals wey dey creep, and different-different kind of animals for di earth”; naso e con be.

25. Naso Baba-God make different different kind of animals for di earth, plus different-different tins wey dey creep for di earth: and Baba-God see sey e make-sense well-well.

26. Naso Baba-God tok sey, “Make we make man inside awa image, and to be like us. And make dem get pawa pass di fish wey dey for water, and di birds wey dey fly for sky, and malu, and make dem get pawa pass everitin for di earth, and pass everitin wey dey creep for di earth.”

27. So Baba-God make human being inside hin own image, na inside Baba-God image he take make am; man plus woman—naso he make dem.

28. Baba-God bless dem, he con tell dem sey, “Make una born pikin, make una plenty well-well, con brekete for di earth, and rule di earth: dey in charge of di fishes wey dey

for water, di birds wey dey fly for sky, plus everitin wey dey alive and wey dey move for di earth.”

29. Baba-God con tok sey, “See, I don give una everi herb [plant] wey get seed, wey dey grow for di land of di earth, plus everi tree wey e fruit dey get seed—make dem be food for una,

30. plus everi animal wey dey for di earth, everi bird wey dey fly for air, plus everitin wey dey creep for di earth, and wey get life—I don give everi green herb for meat [food]”; and naso e con be.

31. And Baba-God look everitin wey he don make, and he see sey dem make sense well
