  1. So Isaac call Jacob, con bless am, he tell am sey, “You  must not carry wife from di daughters of Canaan.
  2. Stand up go Pada-aram make you go di house of Bethuel, your mama papa, and make you take wife from there from di daughters of Laban, wey be your mama broda.
  3. Make Baba-God Almighty bless you, con make you get plenty pikin, and make he make you grow brekete, and make your family be plenty-plenty pipo.
  4. And make he give you di blessing of Abraham, and to your pikin wit you; so dat di land wey you dey stay as jjc (stranger) go turn to your land—land wey Baba-God don give Abraham.
  5. So Isaac send Jacob komot, and he con go Pada-aram  go meet Laban—wey be di son of Bethuel di Syrian, and di broda of Rebekah, Jacob and Esau mama.

6. Wen Esau see sey Isaac don bless Jacob, con send am komot go Pada-aram to marry wife from there, and as he bless am, he warn am sey make he no marry wife from di daughters of Canaan,

7. and Jacob obey hin papa and mama, con go Pada-aram;

8. And as Esau see sey hin papa no like di daughters of Canaan,

9. Esau con go Ishmael, con carry wives from there. Mahalath wey be di daughter of Ishmael—wey be Abraham pikin—di sista of Nebajoth, to be hin wife.

Jacob Dream For Bethel

10. So Jacob komot from Beersheba, con move go Haran.

11. He stop for one place, and he stay for there tru-out di night becos di sun don go down. So he carry stones from there, con use am do hin pillow. And he lie down for there to sleep.

12. Naso he start to dey dream, he see one ladder wey dem set from earth wey on top of di ladder reach heaven. And he see as Baba-God angels dey climb upandan.

13. Baba-God stand on top of di ladder, con tok sey, “Na me be di Oga, di God of your papa Abraham, and di God of Isaac: I go give you di land wey you dey lie down so, and even your pikin sef.

14. Naso your pikin go plenty like dust for di earth, and you go spread go abroad, go di east, and north, and go di south. From inside you and your pikin nahin all di families of di world go take get blessings.

15. See, I dey wit you, I go keep you for all di place wey  you go, and I go bring you again come back to dis land. I no go fashi you until I don do wetin I promise you.”

16. So Jacob wake up from hin sleep, con tok sey, “True-true, Baba-God dey for dis place, and I bin no know.”

17. So fear catch am, and he tok sey, “Dis place dey make me fear well-well! Dis place no be just any place but  na Baba-God house. And na dis be di gate of heaven.”

18. Naso Jacob stand up for early mor-mor, he carry di stone wey he don use do pillow, he set am as pillar, he  con pour ororo on top of am.

19. He call di name of di place Bethel, but dem bin dey  call di name of di city—Luz.

20. So Jacob make promise to Baba-God sey, “If Baba-God go dey wit me and he go keep me for dis way wey I dey go, con give me food to chop, plus cloth to wear,

21. so dat I fit come back to my papa house wit peace, den Baba-God go be my Oga.

22. Dis stone wey I don set as pillar—go be Baba-God house: and everitin wey you go surely give me, I go

pay my tithe.
