Psalm Chapter 116
Saved From Death
- I love Baba-God becos he don hear my voice, and di tin wey I dey ask from am.
2. Becos he turn hin ears face my side, so I go call Baba-God—as long as I dey alive.
3. Di ropes of death surround me; and di pains of death hold me. See me see trouble, see me see wahala.
4. I con call Baba-God name: “Chai Baba-God, biko save my soul!”
5. Baba-God dey kind, and he dey good, and he dey sorry-for pesin.
6. Baba-God dey protect ordinary pipo; wen I bin dey low-key, and he save me.
7. Chai my soul, make you relax again, becos Baba-God dey good to me.
8. Oh Baba-God, you don free my soul from death, and my eyes from tears, and you no let me fall,
9. so dat I go waka for Baba-God front—inside di land of di living.
10. I trust Baba-God wen I tok sey, “I dey suffer well-well.”
11. And I rush tok sey, “All men na lie lie.”
12. Wetin I go give Baba-God for all di beta tins wey he don do for me?
13. I go lift up di cup of salvation, con call upon Baba-God name.
14. I go pay my promise to Baba-God now, for front of all hin pipo.
15. Baba-God no dey use hin pikin life play—he value dem well-well.
16. Oh Baba-God, true-true I be your servant; I be your servant—I dey serve you just as my mama serve you, you don free me from my chains.
17. I go give you sacrifice of tanks giving, con call Baba-God name.
18. I go pay my promises to Baba-God now, for front of all hin pipo.
19. For inside Baba-God house, among Jerusalem—make una praise Baba-God.
