  1. Make you listen to my prayer, Oh Baba-God, no bone me as I dey beg;
  2. hear me make you ansa me. My mind dey wahala me and I dey pkara
  3. as I dey hear my enemies voice, as I wicked pipo dey look me; dem dey bring
    suffer-suffer for my head, dem hate me as dem dey pkara.
  4. My heart dey cry inside me; di fear of death dey pursue me.
  5. Fear dey catch me and my body dey shake; gbege don cover me down.
  6. I con sey, “Chai, I wish sey I get dove wings! I go fly go where I go fit rest—
  7. I go fly go far-far and go go stay for desert;
  8. I go rush go petch for one tree, far from di palava and kitikiti.
  9. Confuse badbelle pipo, Oh God, scata dia tongue, I see fight-fight and beef
    inside di city.
  10. Day and night, dem dey skemp upandan wit bad mind inside di city walls; hate
    and abuse full inside am.
  11. Demon wey dey scata-scata tins dey for di city; threats and lie-lie no fit comot
    from di street.
  12. If enemy dey insult me, I fit endure am, if badbelle wan change am for me, I fit
    comot for where dem dey
  13. But na you, a man like me, my padi, my pesina-pesin,
  14. wey we bin dey flex together as we dey waka wit pipo enta Baba-God house.
  15. Make my enemies die by surprise; make dem bury dem alive, evil dey stay for
    dia heart like pesin wey dey stay hotel.
  16. But I dey call you Baba-God, and God save me.
  17. Evening, morning and afternoon I dey cry taya and Baba-God hear my voice.
  18. He save me from me without wound from di fight wey pipo dey fight me, even
    though plenty pipo dey againt me.
  19. Baba-God wey dey for throne forever, he go hear dem con put kasala for dia
    head, men wey no fit change and wey no dey fear Baba-God.
  20. My padi dey attack hin pesina-pesin; he don break di promise wey hin make.
  21. Hin yarnings smooth like butter but na war full hin mind; he yarning sweet like
    ororo, but na fight he wan fight.
  22. Give Baba-God all your wahala and he go make you maintain; he no go ever
    let righteous pipo fall.
  23. But you Oh Baba-God, you go bring down di wicked man inside wuru-wuru pit;
    men wey like blood and wey dey do mago-mago no go live half of their life. But as
    for me, I go trust you.
