Deuteronomy Chapter 5

       Di Agreement For Horeb

5. For dat time, I stand between Baba-God and una, and to show una Baba-God word, becos una bin dey  fear di faya and una no gree climb di mountain. And he tok sey:
6. “Na me be Baba-God wey be una Oga wey carry una  komot from Egypt, komot from di land where una be  slaves.
7. “Make una get no oda gods apart from me.
8. “Make una no make any idol for unasef wey resemble anytin for heaven wey dey for up or for  earth wey dey down, or for inside water wey dey  under di earth.
9. Make you no bow down to dem, or worship dem— becos me, Baba-God una Oga, na God wey dey jealous—wey dey punish pikin for di sins of dia papa go reach di third plus fourth generation of those pipo wey hate me,
10. But I dey sorry-for thousands of generations of those pipo wey love me, and wey dey do wetin I tell dem to do.

12. “Observe di Sabbath day by keeping am holy as  Baba-God una Oga tell una to do.
13. Make una work for six days, con do all una work,

25. But why we go con die now? Dis heavy faya go burn  us, and we go die if we kontinu to hear Baba-God awa Oga voice.

26. Becos who among men don ever hear Baba-God  voice—wey dey live con survive am?

29. How I wish sey dia hearts fit move to fear me con always keep all my commandments, so dat e go beta for dem plus dia pikin forever!

30. Go, tell dem sey make dem go back to dia tents. But  make you stay for here wit me so dat I go tell you all  di commandments, di words and laws, wey you go teach dem—to do for di land wey I go give dem to claim as dia property.

31. So make una calm down to do wetin Baba-God una Oga don tell una to do; no turn go right or left.

32. Follow all di ways wey Baba-God una Oga don command una, so dat una go live, and so dat e go beta for una, and so dat una days go brekete for di  land wey una go claim.
