Romans Chapter 10
1. Brodas and sistas, wetin my heart really want, and my prayer to Baba-God for di Israelite—na make dem get salvation.
2. I know di love wey dem get for Baba-God, but e no dey based-on di truth about Baba-God.
3. Since dem no sabi di goodness wey Baba-God dey give, and dem try to form dia own goodness by keeping di law; dem no gree for Baba-God goodness.
4. Christ na di end of di law, so dat goodness go dey for everi-pesin wey believe in Christ.
Salvation For Everi-pesin
5. Moses write about di righteousness of di law; “Di man wey do dis tins go live by dem.”
6. But di goodness wey be by faith tok sey: “No tok for your heart sey, ‘Who go go up to heaven?’ ” [dat na to carry Christ come down from up-up.]
7. “or ‘Who go fit come down to di deep-pit?’ ” [Dat na to bring Christ up from di dead].
8. But wetin e tok? “Di word dey near you; e dey for your mouth, and inside your heart,” and dat na di message of faith wey we dey preach:
9. If you use your mouth tok sey, ‘Jesus na Oga,’ con believe for your heart sey Baba-God raise am from di dead, you go get salvation.
10. Na wit di heart man go take believe, con get goodness, and na wit mouth man go take confess, con get salvation.
11. As di Holy-books tok, “Shame no go ever catch any- pesin wey believe am.”
12. Difference no dey between Jews and world-pipo (Gentiles)—di same Oga na Oga of all, and he go give blessings brekete—to all di pipo wey dey call hin name.
13. Everi-pesin wey dey call di name of di Oga, go dey saved.”
14. How dem go fit call di pesin wey dem no believe in? And how dem go believe pesin wey dem neva hear about? And how dem go hear, wen pesin neva preach to dem?
15. And how dem go fit preach—wen Baba-God neva send dem? As dem write am sey, “See as di steps of those pipo wey dey preach di good news of peace—fine reach, and pipo wey dey bring beta gist of good tins!”
16. But no be all of dem nahin accept di good news. Isaiah tok sey, “Baba-God, who gree hear awa message?”
17. So faith dey come by hearing, and by hearing Baba-God word.
18. But I dey ask: abi dem no hear am? Yes, dem hear am: “Dia voice don reach di end of di earth, dia words don reach di end of di world.”
19. I still dey ask again: Abi Israel no understand? Moses first tok sey, “I go make una dey jealous oda pipo—wey no reach to be nation; I go make una vex wit mumu nations.”
20. And Isaiah tok wit full mind sey, “Pipo wey no dey fyne me—nahin see me; I dey show myself to pipo wey no ask for me.”
21. But about Israel mata, Baba-God tok sey, “Tru-out di day, I dey open my hand to receive dis pipo—wey no dey get coconut-head.”
